Spinosaurus lived in North Africa during the Late Cretaceous. It had a narrow snout filled with straight conical teeth. Tall spines growing from its back vertebrae gave Spinosaurus a ‘sail’ or a hump, the purpose of which has yet to be conclusively determined by scientists.
