Deinonychus is a dromaeosaurid theropod dinosaur. It lived during the Early Cretaceous and is closely related to Velociraptor of Mongolia. It had a deadly sickle-shaped talon on the second toe of each hind foot, which may have been used to disembowel prey. We have small dromaeosaurids on display in our Dinosaur Hall!
